Windows to resurrect XP

Dell asked for user feedback on Vista, and users overwhelming want to wait to shift to Vista.  So, Dell has reversed its Vista-only policy on new equipment, giving users the XP option, according to the BBC Technology News.

Windows Vista, IE7, and Blackboard's Textbox Editor

Blackboard users working in Windows Vista and Internet Explorer 7 will encounter problems with the visual textbox editor. The textbox editor is used in announcements, descriptions for files, and the discussion board.  Users will need to disable the textbox editor to gain functionality. Here’s how:

• Go to Personal Information
• Click on Set Textbox Editor Option
• Set to Unavailable
• Click Submit

Alternatively, Firefox can be used in place of Internet Explorer.

Vista compatibility: be aware
